5. Eat less salt


High salt consumption can raise your blood pressure. If you want to prevent heart attacks, then you must reduce the intake of salt in your daily diet. Around three-fourth of the salt is already present in the food you buy like sauce, bread, soups, and cereals. One should not consume more than 6 g of salt in a day. Kids below the age of 11 should consume even less salt.
