4. Cut down on Sugar

Daily consumption of food items with high sugar content can lead to tooth decay and obesity. You must cut down on liquid sugar such as smoothies, fruit juices, syrups, and honey. Free sugar is found in many other food items. These include chocolates, puddings, pastries, cakes, fizzy drinks, etc. One of the healthy eating habits that you must adopt is to eat natural sugar instead of artificial sweeteners.

5. Eat less salt

High salt consumption can raise your blood pressure. If you want to prevent heart attacks, then you must reduce the intake of salt in your daily diet. Around three-fourth of the salt is already present in the food you buy like sauce, bread, soups, and cereals. One should not consume more than 6 g of salt in a day. Kids below the age of 11 should consume even less salt.
